| Subject: Kiiroi Ochibi ~Electric Princess Thu Aug 02, 2012 7:40 pm | |
| Name: Kiiroii, Kiiro, Ochibi
Age: 14¾
Appearance: Despite her short stature Kiiro stands tall and strong at all occasions. Usually accompanied with a smug grin on her round face. Her hair is cut roughly above her little ears but falls a little further at the back of her head down to neck level. The hair colour is of course a bright yellow shade and is usually kept in a messy ruffled look, with small twigs and leaves often being found in it after training showing the small amount of care she puts into it.
Her body is more muscular than the regular girl her age due to focus on physical values, though quite lean she hasn't managed to build up much muscle, lacking the body mass or dietary strictness to become a truely bulky martial artist. Despite her pubescent age she lacks any womanly curves and seems to retain her childlike body, a fact that aggravates her greatly.
Her dress code has two forms. Formal and practical, her casual and ninja wear being purely practical and her formal wear being well, formal. Both types of clothing always seem to be laced with flashy colours, yellow and orange being her favourites. She only owns one non colourful outfit, that being a stereotypical ninja gi for rare stealth purposes only.
Rank: Chuunin
Elements: Raiton
Specialties: Taijutsu, Ninjutsu
Village: Kumogakure
Personality: Kiiro has a very boyish personality. Extremely energetic and battle prone she sees herself as a hero in a world otherwise inhabited by bystanders and villains. She tends to talk in a very loud voice despite the fact she can be easily irritated by other people being loud-mouths. Ever the attention seeker she has a bad habit of bragging and putting herself before others most of the time.
Though a self proclaimed hero, and owning relatively large reservoir of courage she can scare easy when faced with opposition that she isn't used too. Often panicking when scared she can be rendered relatively distraught quite quickly, thankfully she's pretty good at giving herself pep talks and can get herself out of most emotional ruts without much outside help.
History: - Early Childhood:
Kiiro was born as the eldest daughter of the Ochibi clan leader, and grew up among the rest of the clan in their small settlement in the forest. She very much enjoyed the life of being the heiress, enjoying the attention and small amounts of power she was coveted with. However quite soon she found herself a little resented by her peers who she relentlessly annoyed. Quite soon the children of the clan had divided into two segments, the "pro" Kiiro troop who enjoyed playing with her and enduring her hyperactive energy, and the anti Kiiro group who disliked her bossy nature. At this point in her life she was very much a girly girl and enjoyed playing the bossy princess of her friendly group. This however lead to disaster when the grown ups decided to pit all the children into a game of capture the flag. The adults assuming their children had followed their exact same friendship patterns put chose the team based on all of their friends rather than the childrens, and this of course lead to a disastrous miss match. Kiiro's father being head of the clan was close with the more elite clan members, each of which had attained a certain amount of pride in themselves. This proud nature had passed on to their children and may have been one of the reasons, aside from her bossiness, that made them oppose Kiiro. However unfortunately it was Kiiro was paired up with the "elites" children, who seemed to have a fierce distaste for her and so set her to work guarding the flag. Now Kiiro thought up a master plan for this moment. If her teamates were going to be mean and not include her in their team then she wouldn't want to be part of it. Mutiny! She stole the flag and snuck in a most sneaky fashion around the forest area they were playing in, and around the back to her friends team, the team she was suppose to be opposing. Her friends were very pleased with her, and they announced their victory almost instantly. Kiiro's original team were however less impressed. Their leader, and older girl and daughter of the strongest elite of the entire clan challenged her in a not so friendly way over this, and pushed her down. Kiiro, of course wasn't going to have any of this and so got up and tackled her back to the ground. Now when two members of a clan who're surrounded by a static field start to knock into each other the electricity between them starts to increase, and at this moment a variety of sparks started to fly between the two girls, creating an electric light show that made cracking sounds loud enough for the adults to hear. Promptly being plucked from one another they were both scolded for their behaviour. However it was when they heard of Kiiro's mutiny that the annoyed adults wrath turned on her. Various rather boring statements about things that involved leading the clan and not betraying people were thrown at her, and she was sent to bed without supper. Some of the more elite adults weren't happy with just this though. They expected their children to become the next strongest ranks of the clan, and in turn that meant that they would have to have a good relationship with Kiiro, and that meant they needed to trust her. They turned to Kiiro's father for a solution to her discipline problem and he managed to give a good solution in sending her away to live with the former clan head, her grandfather for a little while. It pleased all the adults, and it'd help Kiiro advance far beyond the levels the other children were at. It was later that night that Kiiro was brought up some food by her father. The young girl was given a small lecture over the same simple things that had been yelled at her earlier that day, as well as explaining that she'd be staying with her grandfather for a while. Though she wasn't listening to most of it, she did take note at the last few things her father mentioned. "And their right, you shouldn't betray your friends. So good job." And with a pat to her small head and a smile, her father left her bedroom.
- Training Days:
Now Kiiro knew her grandfather was as her father put it "the strict and kind type" and hadn't seen her since she was a toddler. She was with a sly smile by her mother that if she acted the perfect little granddaughter then she'd probably have a better time staying there than at home. Her grandfather lived out in a distant part of the forest with her grandmother. They lived in one of the rarer forest clearings, on a hill, inside a grain mill. Kiiro was of course their eldest grandchild and so they weren't too old. The years seemed to have been kind to her grandmother, a woman approaching her late 50s with a plump figure and kind face, with just the faintest wrinkles showing the folds of thousands of previous smiles on her face. Her grandfather the years had been less kind too. exactly 60 years old his figure clung to his bones, yet he stood up straight and strong, seemingly not noticing a scar diagonally gashed across his wrinkling face. As she was told to, Kiiro behaved herself. Not that she had much energy to complain. Every morning before breakfast she would have to help her grandfather push the cogs of the mill around in circles to grind the grain, apparently her grandfather always forgot to turn it the right way for every time the wind started to move the mill it would push the cogs round the other way, making the task harder for them. This was followed by a huge breakfast, truly fit for kings. Fresh baked buns, huge thick omelets made from half a dozen eggs, a large slab of meat with lush herbs dashed all over its surface and a bowl full of sliced apple pieces coated in lemon juice so they wouldn't turn brown. Such a large breakfast was something she could barely handle at first, but she found the milling left her hungry enough for all of it. In no fit shape to do any more training the next thing on the agenda was meditation. Both of her grand parents joined in with this portion of the routine. They would all sit quietly and try to focus and channel their electricity through every corner of their body, Kiiro found this the most annoying part of the routine as it required vast amounts of sitting still but she did however like the fact that after an hour of this she wouldn't feel as bloated by her large breakfast. The routine called for technique training and sparring as the next exercise before Kiiro was allowed to go play once again. This would vastly irritate Kiiro as her grandfather never once let her win, and she couldn't beat him fairly either. Her techniques and fighting style improved greatly but she never managed to lay a winning strike on the old man. After she'd been living in the routine for a long amount of time Kiiro began to become a lot more experienced in being a kunoichi. It was at this point the strongest member of the clan, and her grandfathers best student approached. Of course he came along with his daughter, the girl that Kiiro had fought with over a year or so ago. Now both long into their clans ninja training it was agreed that the two girls should have a friendly spar. In a matter of seconds Kiiro had overpowered and floored her opponent. Quite obviously the better of the two. She offered her rival a hand up and bowed when they had finished. Both her grandfather and her opponents father were impressed with her performance, and for a day that summer she spent most of it being showered with praise.
- New Home:
Kiiro's rival was the daughter of the strongest member of the clan, and elite from the Raichi branch. However when he visited her at her grandfathers house he did not come bearing good news. it was revealed to Kiiro and her grandparents that her father had mysteriously vanished. presumably he had been killed at some point. A wave of strange emotions washed of Kiiro, she wasn't allowed to know the details surrounding her fathers disappearance, her grandfather deemed it "inappropriate for a child" and that was the end of it. She spent most of the week upset, before the clan elders had called to see her. She returned to the portion of the forest that housed most of the clan accompanied by her grandfather. With her father presumed dead technically that left Kiiro the de-facto clan leader. The Elders however had different plans. They requested that her grandfather be left in charge of the clan while Kiiro was sent away to train in a distant "ninja village" where a lot of her friends were being sent to learn more about the modern ninja world. She personally didn't particularly enjoy being so far away from home all the time but managed to keep herself occupied with training and her own silly ways. Becoming what was known officially as a "genin" quite quickly compared to her peers she was quite proud of herself and her routes, remaining in contact with her family through post to keep her from getting lonely she continued to train to become a good clan head for the Ochibi.
